Tyger's Of The East

This is a song I had written when Mistress Caitlin Davies had passed away. I had never met her, but she was a Tyger of the East and people said such wonderful things about her. I had heard many stories: so many, in fact, it was almost as if I did know her. I felt inspired to write a song dedicated to all those Tygers we have lost as well as all those we have yet to meet. There is definitely a certain distinction of those who become Tygers. They are fantastic people that everyone only has kind words to say about them. They are the embodiment of all I could ever hope to be in the SCA. This song is for Mistress Caitlin... and all the Tygers of the East.

Take up your arms

Proudly march to battle

A tiger's strength filling up your bones

Cry out fierce

Let the tiger hear you

Side by side you know you'll never be alone

Swords like claws

Slicing through with honor

Courage strong, baring teeth like spears

Victory

Cry it out triumphant

All your foes will kneel before you in fear

Take up your arms

Proudly march to battle

A tiger's strength filling up your bones

Cry out fierce

Let the tiger hear you

Side by side you know you'll never be alone

Tell your tale

While the drums beat strongly

Echo fierce through the rolling field

A tiger's roar

And the people listen

Mighty words were all you needed to wield

Take up your arms

Proudly march to battle

A tiger's strength filling up your bones

Cry out fierce

Let the tiger hear you

Side by side you know you'll never be alone

When tigers fall

All the people hear it

Mourn the loss of a friend and kin

Never gone

Tigers live among us

Show the world the tiger that you have within

Take up your arms

Proudly march to battle

A tiger's strength filling up your bones

Cry out fierce

Let the tiger hear you

Side by side you know you'll never be alone
